Faster Leaner Stronger (FLS) incorporates 48-minute Tread & Strength workouts that alternate between the treadmill and weight circuits so you get the best, most efficient all-around workout in less time.

Runners NEED strength training. And weight-lifters NEED cardio to achieve heart health. As humans, our bodies are designed to run. We’ve been doing it for centuries.

Faster Leaner Stronger Overview

FLS is an 8-week program that incorporates treadmill HIIT and weight-training circuits three times a week, plus my Tone & Lengthen workouts that improve your mobility, flexibility, and balance. All the things that are SO important for runners but often get neglected.

Each workout is entirely unique – no repeating anything! With over 150 different exercises, you won’t get bored.

You’ll learn how to: read a treadmill workout, listen to your body to find the right pace, and sprint flat and steep inclines.

You’ll learn and master unique strength exercises designed with runners in mind.

Not a runner right now? Don’t worry – all Tread & Strength workouts can be done at walking speed.

Equipment You’ll Need for This Guide

  • Treadmill with working incline
  • A light set of dumbbells (4-8 lbs)
  • Heavier set of dumbbells (10-25 lbs)
  • A bench
  • A short resistance band
  • A medicine ball

How the Program Works

You’ll workout 5 to 6 days a week on the FLS stronger program.

3 Tread & Strength workouts per week
Each workout has two 12-minute treadmill circuits and two 12-minute weight-training circuits

1 to 2 easy cardio sessions per week
For regular runners, these could be your easy/recovery/long run days.

1 Tone & Lengthen workout per week (takes 35 minutes)

  • Help you build stability muscles in your core, hips, glutes that are so important for runners.
  • Incorporate balance and flexibility movement to improve your running endurance
  • Trust me when I say these workouts make a HUGE difference in your running form.

Day 2: Easy Cardio

Day 3: Tread & Strength Upper Body

Day 4: Tone & Lengthen

Day 5: Tread & Strength Full Body

Day 6: Rest or Optional Easy Cardio
