At-Home Bootcamp Workout: Faster Leaner Stronger Is Here!

At-Home Bootcamp Workout: Faster Leaner Stronger Is Here!

After I finished my first marathon, I got in the habit of regularly attending treadmill bootcamp workout classes at boutique fitness studios.

The classes were amazing, and just what I needed. I still got to run, but the running was short and snappy. The strength exercises changed so frequently, I never got bored.

But I missed the marathon training mindset. Training for a marathon requires incredible discipline and consistency. While I enjoyed showing up for the classes, I didn’t feel as if I was building towards anything. I missed following a program, of waking up every day and knowing I had work to put in.

So, I decided to create one.

Faster Leaner Stronger Program

Faster Leaner Stronger is an 8-week program that builds and grows with you, as you get more comfortable with the treadmill, gain speed and strength, and get fitter.

The workouts in Faster Leaner Stronger follow the same format as the popular boutique fitness classes like Barrys Bootcamp, Orangetheory, and Shred415. It requires a treadmill and basic equipment like a pair of dumbbells and a bench (or chair or ottoman :)).

It provides a way for you to be consistent in your training and progress certain movements, rather than attending an assortment of classes taught by different trainers.

The Workouts

A week in Faster Leaner Stronger is split up like this:

  • Day 1: Lower Body Tread & Strength
  • Day 2: Easy Cardio
  • Day 3: Upper Body Tread & Strength
  • Day 4: Tone & Lengthen
  • Day 5: Full Body Tread & Strength
  • Day 6: Rest or Optional Easy Cardio
  • Day 7: Stretch & Foam Roll; Rest

Three days a week, you’ll do a 48-minute Tread & Strength circuit, working for 12-minute rounds that alternate between the treadmill and the floor.

Once a week, you’ll do one of my Tone & Lengthen workouts that are lower intensity mobility and balance workouts. I love these workouts! I often do them when I’m short on time or not in the mood for the gym. They take about 35 minutes and can be done at home on a yoga mat.

Everything is fully explained in the program, from what to do for your easy cardio days, how to fit in other types of exercise like spin classes and hot yoga during your week, and what stretching routine to do for your rest day.

If 48-minutes sounds like too long of a workout for you to commit to, I also have a section in the book that describes how you’d split the workouts into 24-minute workouts (around 35 minutes total when you include warm-up and cool-down).

This program is made to be flexible with your ability and lifestyle, while still helping you reach your fitness goals.

What You Get

Faster Leaner Stronger gives you 8-weeks of unique workouts, with absolutely no repeating. Because…hello boredom.

There’s also a bonus week of travel workouts that require zero equipment! I also love using this week for when I’m not feeling weights.

The program comes with a video library demonstrating how to do every exercise, a running form guide (super important), modifications, and a treadmill safety guide.

Bottom Line

I’m truly so excited about this program. It challenges you in the best way and changes how you feel in your body after eight short weeks.

I can’t wait for you to start feeling faster, leaner, and stronger!
